The south zone is officially opened for Dove Hunting on Friday, September 20th, and runs through Sunday, November 9th. Late Dove season opens Friday, December 26th and runs through Tuesday , January 13th. Quail season opens statewide Saturday, October 25th and runs through Sunday, February 22nd.

Adult Shotgun Shooting Camps

Enjoy a full day of unlimited shooting and be ready for the Wingshooting Season! Sandy Oaks Ranch has been an ORVIS Endorsed Wingshooting Lodge since 2000.

We are here to introduce beginners to the basics or help seasoned shooters refine their skills at the highest level of the shooting sports. Our instinctive approach to shotgunning offers both novice and seasoned veterans a complete shooting system applicable to upland hunting, waterfowling, or sporting clays. We group students together according to their levels of ability and experience. By doing this, we give all students a sensible starting point to help them progress through the various clay target venues with very positive results. We focus on stance and footwork, gun handling, swing, visual concentration, proper gun mounting, and correct fit of the shotgun. These fundamentals are ingrained through practice as you fire hundreds of shells with an instructor analyzing every shot. You'll also learn shotgun safety and receive a complimentary gun fitting to record your individual stock dimensions.

Whether you want to learn the shooting sports, hone your skills, or simply enjoy some time shooting, Sandy Oaks Ranch shooting grounds will meet your needs. Shooting schools are held year-round. Plan to join us for an exciting learning experience.

Pricing:
$500.00 for a private individual day school.
$400.00 per person for a two person day school.
$300.00 per person for a three to four person day school.
